2004 Alesia Kanzler Vineyard Pinot Noir

January, 2010: This has aged particularly well. Improves with air. Drink.

January, 2009: This is drinking well but also rewards air. Drink.

January, 2007: The Kanzler vineyard has developed quite a following over recent years. Despite this, in 2005 we expected to need winery capacity for our estate harvest and didn’t elect to continue purchasing the fruit. So the 2004 Alesia Kanzler is a one-time bottling.

Nice mid-weight nose of red berry fruit, spice and forest floor. Very balanced, ripe and elegant red fruit palate leads to a load of graphite and sweet fruit on the finish. This is very approachable now and will improve for 3 to 4 years.
