2004 Alesia Chileno Valley Pinot Noir

January, 2010: Lots of black fruit and the structure is resolving. Drink.

January, 2009: This is structured and getting close but still tight. If opened make sure to give it an hour or so of air. Drink/Hold.

January, 2007: The chilly Chileno valley is located in northern Marin and southern Sonoma County. The cool weather and unique Steinbeck series soils produce a powerful yet balanced expression of Sonoma Coast Pinot. We love it for its focus and intensity. Complex notes of deep black cherries, forest floor and sandalwood on the nose. The terrifically sappy and precise red fruit on the palate leads to a touch of spice on the lingering and structured finish. This is our most ageworthy Alesia Pinot in 2004. We recommend cellaring this for 2-10 years with peak drinking in about 5 years.
